The Times Herald Record: Power line info session draws little interest
A power transmission company brought its public info show to Kingston Tuesday night, sharing its plan to bury power lines under the Hudson River, push down energy costs and clean the environment. Transmission Developers Inc. shared the finer points of its $3.8 billion plan at the public meeting. TDI wants to build a high-voltage power line from Canada to New York City and Bridgeport, Conn., burying the transmission cables under Lake Champlain, the Champlain Canal and nearly the entire length of the Hudson River. |
